Sorrow's Trio is an animation based entirely off of tarot cards, specifically the Three of Swords. This animation would act as an opening introduction to a fictional show, and had to replicate the illustration of the chosen tarot card.

The story to get the animation to end with the card illustration is incredibly random and idiotic, where a heartbroken warrior throws his sword into the air and it directly pierces the heart. This randomness is what makes Sorrow's Trio stand out because of how many steps it took to get the sword into the air and thus connecting to the heart.

The font choice was meant to make the animation feel more medieval, and the red makes the blood and the logo stand out against all of the other elements. The storyboards were created to slowly find a way to get the sword to reach the heart, being humorous and purposefully stupid in the process.

The walk cycle was created by separating all of the body parts and parenting all of them to the body, then rotating everything accordingly. Rotation makes a lot of things funny, including the fight scene which was just the two warriors rotating at hyperspeed, and the sword rotating a lot to perfectly pierce the heart.
