The energy of the song Ace of Spades by Juice WRLD was captured through animating the lyrics by using the title to it's most extreme, themed entirely around poker and gambling.
This is only one of many unreleased songs that Juice WRLD has, and the vast majority of these songs showcase a side of him that doesn't appear within his released music. The purpose of this lyric video was to highlight his talent that most people would never get to see otherwise.
The typography is based on the fonts used on playing cards, while not being an exact match to have separation between the lyrics and the cards themselves. The storyboard was built with the idea of zooming into the Ace of Spades when the lyric is spoken, and zooming in even further once the instrumental fades for a small portion, then zooming all the way back out to connect to the beginning.
To base everything on poker, a 3D environment was created with a table and playing with verticality. Lighting and shadows were also added to make everything appear more realistic.
