Posters and Banners, Artist Catalogs, Logo Animation
Alfa Art Gallery is a non-profit gallery that promotes art by hosting events and exhibitions to showcase smaller and larger artists alike. They also collaborate with other artists and organizations to engage with the public.
My main tasks were to create posters and banners for each event for display at the gallery as well as on their website, develop artist catalogs that showcased an entire artist's portfolio, and also creating motion graphics for the video team to use in their projects.
The posters and banners required the title, name of the exhibition, the details, the sponsors supporting the gallery, and the gallery information. My designs revolved around enhancing the artwork and making it stand out through hierarchy.
The artist catalogs require working with the artist themselves and ensuring that the quality meets their vision. Many rounds of revisions took place as we worked together to find what works and what doesn't until it feels like their artwork is being shown in the best light possible.
The motion graphics started from me taking charge within the internship and asking if it's possible to use my skills for the gallery. As a test, I created a logo animation for the video team, where they can use it for the beginning of their videos instead of placing the static logo like before.
